Leadership Challenges in the New Normal
JIMS Elite, Rohini Sec-5 hosted a seminar ‘Leadership Challenges in the New Normal’ on 30th January 2021, Saturday at 10:00 pm onwards, Senior Alumni members shared their experiences and insights about the changes in the organizations due to the ongoing pandemic and to successfully manage change.

The event started with an introduction and brief about the JIMS Elite Association by Mr.Puneet Sethi, President of JIMS Elite followed by a welcome speech by Dr.Pooja, Director at JIMS.
Mr.Avijit Charavarti moderated the session where speakers talked about:
- How leadership has evolved and what are the current challenges faced by leaders today in the post covid era?
- The practical aspects of leadership and how it is being followed in Tata Power with a focus on leadership as a responsibility?
- Bringing in aspects of global leadership and how technology is being leveraged.
- The challenges for HR professionalists in maintaining the balance between people and corporate goals and how responsibly HR is dealing with the redeployment of resources and helping them.
- The new opportunities opened up because of the pandemic
- The agility in leadership
The first session ended with an interactive Q&A and vote of thanks to the speakers by Mr.Rohit Gupta, Vice-President of JIMS Elite followed by a glimpse of the events held in 2019-20 by the association in the form of short PPT.
Mr.Chetan Dixit, Treasurer of JIMS Elite welcomed and introduced the second session speakers along with the moderator, Dr.Yukti Ahuja, where the speakers talked about:
- Self-awareness, SEO- Self Eliminate Outsource and labeling the pockets of work and life.
- Maintaining a healthy work-life balance is not only important for health and relationships, but it can also improve your employee’s productivity, and ultimately performance.
- When we are stressed and over-worked, we run the risk of jeopardizing more than just our social lives – our physical and mental health is in danger too.
- By helping your people to find the perfect balance between work and home, you will increase their engagement levels.
- When we find and sustain a healthy work-life balance, we develop greater control over our focus and ability to concentrate on the task at hand.
The session ended with another interactive Q&A and a vote of thanks by Mr. Varun Gupta, Executive member of JIMS Elite.
Overall the seminar was much appreciated by more than 150 participants by recalling their past memories on the campus and eagerly wished to stay connected with the institute.
