MDP-Industry-Design-Clinic-Using-Design-Thinking
JIMS Rohini successfully conducted a two-day Management Development Programme (MDP) for Alumni on “Industry Design Clinic Using Design Thinking” on 19–20 December 2025 at DELNET, New Delhi, in collaboration with Designversity, Ahmedabad. The programme was designed as a focused initiative to strengthen alumni engagement while equipping participants with contemporary, industry-relevant problem-solving capabilities. Designversity, a globally networked and ecosystem-driven organization with over 25 years of experience in design, innovation, and capability building, played a pivotal role in shaping the programme’s learning architecture. The programme aimed to provide alumni with hands-on exposure to design thinking methodologies for addressing complex, real-world industry challenges. The learning design emphasized human-centered problem identification, creative ideation, rapid prototyping, and solution validation. Through interactive sessions, industry-oriented design clinics, case analyses, and collaborative group exercises, participants gained practical insights into applying design thinking tools within their respective organizational contexts. Beyond skill enhancement, the MDP served as a dynamic platform for alumni networking and peer learning. Participants from diverse industries and professional backgrounds actively shared experiences, perspectives, and best practices, leading to meaningful cross-industry knowledge exchange. The programme was very well received by the alumni, who expressed high levels of satisfaction with its practical orientation, industry relevance, and experiential learning methodology. Many participants highlighted the immediate applicability of the tools and frameworks introduced during the sessions. Overall, the MDP emerged as a valuable and impactful initiative, significantly contributing to JIMS Rohini' ongoing efforts in alumni development, industry engagement, and innovation-led learning.
